Our consultancy firm 8Palms International, is ready to take on the world. But we could use some sales expertise to get there. We are seeking an experienced sales associate to join us in crystallizing our brand offering and strategizing an actionable plan. Our ideal candidate will have a solid track record of leading startups to growth and creating tangible benefits and assets. Our fast-paced office environment is full of creative thinkers and doers who collaborate to get ideas off the ground. We’re looking for a sales associate who thinks big and can feel at home within our high-energy culture.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Greets customers and makes them feel comfortable
• Interacts with customers, offering assistance and responding to queries about products and purchases
• Provides recommendations according to customer needs or preferences
• Locates merchandise for customers and places orders, where necessary
• Introduces promotions and new products to customers
• Operates cash register and handles cash payments and credit card processing
• Handles refunds, exchanges and returns
• Documents sales by updating customer records
• Stays up to date with sales trends for better service and achievement of sales
• Alerts the management of potential security issues

Education and Experience Requirements

• High school diploma
• Two years working in the service or retail industry preferred

Required Skills

• Self-motivated
• Friendly and strong commitment to customer service
• Verbal and written communication skills
• Interpersonal skills
• Ability to stand for extended periods
• Ability to lift merchandise weighing up to 20 pounds
• Basic math and accounting skills

Preferred Skills

• Experience operating a cash register
• Experience operating point-of-sale (POS) transactions
• Critical thinking, evaluation and analytical skills
• Record of meeting and exceeding sales goals
